FirstJoy Foundation is a Not-for-Profit (NP) and a humanitarian-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established to aid and give support to the disadvantaged boy and girl children, deprived families, and the excluded. Besides, collaborating with the relevant authorities toward the provision of support for individuals in conflict with the law, as inspired by our Christian faith and values. Together, we strive to change lives!

Our Thematic Focus
Driven by the love of Christ, FirstJoy Foundation works to transform lives by empowering boys and girls to reach their full God-given potential, lifting needy families out of hardship, equipping vulnerable youth with practical skills, and extending His redeeming grace and second chances to juveniles in correctional centres and former convicts seeking restoration.

Empowerment
Sustainable change happens when individuals are equipped to shape their own destinies. Living out our Christian faith through service, we focus on building confidence, sharing knowledge, and providing resources so that community members take the lead in driving their own future. Our Sustainable Livelihoods Project, where we offer a start-up capital for single mothers to engage in petty trading so they could support their children daily to go to school has greatly helped to reduce truancy among boys and girls at the Basic schools. The need for empowerment is what drives our educational and skills apprenticeship initiative. At FirstJoy, No Child is Left Behind!

Livelihood & Healthcare Support
Motivated by the love of Christ, we empower families to break the cycle of poverty by helping parents establish sustainable, income-generating activities. To ensure long-term well-being, we also assist individuals and families with medical care and health resources during times of crisis.
Education & Youth Empowerment
We believe education and skill development are vital tools for a better future. Driven by the love of Christ to serve, our programmes support disadvantaged children and youth from the Basic through the Secondary education level.

My name is Peniel Naa Merley Digber, and I am passionate about using my skills, creativity, and time to make a positive impact. With a background in Information Technology, I believe in the power of technology, education, mentorship, and service to create opportunities and empower people.
My journey as a volunteer with FirstJoy Foundation LBG has allowed me to contribute to its IT and videography activities while participating in programmes that support and empower young people. Through this experience, I have grown, learned the value of teamwork and service, and developed an even deeper passion for the foundation’s mission.
I am inspired by FirstJoy Foundation LBG’s commitment to helping young people discover their potential, develop their talents, and pursue their dreams. I hope to see the foundation reach even more communities, create greater opportunities, and continue transforming lives for generations to come.
